Membership: Committees

Becoming involved in organization committees is an excellent way to get to know other SME members – your peers. For more info: membership@smemadison.com.

1. MEMBERSHIP
Director of Membership: Mollie Dougherty-Chritton
The responsibility of this committee is to actively seek out potential new members, and to maintain constant communication with current membership. A major focus of this committee is to ensure that members feel a part of SME. Several orientation meetings are held during the year for prospective and new members by this committee.

2. MARKETING
Director of Marketing: Adrianne Tritt
This committee is responsible for marketing the association and its programs to present any potential members. The committee works with other committees where needed to advertise and publicize their projects.

3. PROGRAM
Director of Programs: Tammy Jelinek
This committee is responsible for securing speakers for the workshops and monthly dinner programs for the following year.

4. EDUCATION COMMITTEE
The responsibility of this committee is to develop activities and projects in cooperation with educational groups to encourage sales and marketing as a career, build understanding of our profession’s role, and improve sales/marketing education. This committee will also be responsible for the selection of our scholarship recipients.

5. EXECUTIVE OF THE YEAR COMMITTEE
The responsibility of this committee is to plan and implement the annual awards program, recruit company nominations to honor their sales & marketing staff and to recruit sponsors and advertisers for the program.

6. SPONSORSHIP COMMITTEE
Director of Sponsorship: Kristi Thering-Tuschen
The responsibility of this committee is to recruit sponsors for our monthly events and for our annual Executive of the Year awards program.
